You will enjoy unforgettable moments in the desert, admire breathtaking sunsets and sunrises over the golden dunes, and feel the unique peace of the Sahara at night. This trip allows you to walk on the soft sand dunes, explore ancient Moroccan villages, learn about Amazigh traditions, and discover the rich and timeless culture of the desert people.

Start your desert adventure with a morning departure from your hotel or riad in Marrakech.

You will cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying several photo stops and discovering traditional Amazigh villages built along the mountainsides.

Upon arrival at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, enjoy a guided walk through its fortified ksar. This iconic location has served as a backdrop for many world-famous films including Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones. After the visit, enjoy a local lunch near the kasbah.

The journey continues through Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” before reaching Skoura. Here, you will visit the beautiful Amridil Kasbah, one of the most well-preserved kasbahs in Morocco. Check in to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, leave Skoura and begin your journey through the spectacular Dades Valley, known for its kasbahs, palm groves, and impressive rock formations. Continue toward the famous Todgha Gorges, where towering canyon walls rise dramatically above a crystal-clear river—an ideal place for a short walk and photos.

The road then leads you through Tinjdad and Erfoud, renowned for their date palms and fossil workshops, before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Upon arrival, switch to camels or 4x4 (depending on your choice) to reach the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes and enjoy a breathtaking sunset. Dinner will be served at your desert camp, followed by traditional music under the starry Saharan sky. Overnight in a private tent.

Wake up early to admire the sunrise over the golden dunes. After breakfast, return to the hotel in Merzouga to freshen up and collect your luggage.

We then drive toward Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet and an important trading center. Continue through Alnif and the magnificent Draa Valley, home to one of the longest palm groves in Morocco, before crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains.

Arrive in Ouarzazate for lunch and enjoy visits to its iconic sites, including Taourirt Kasbah and the famous Atlas Film Studios, where many international movies and series have been filmed. Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.

After breakfast, visit the Atlas Film Studios, one of the largest and most renowned film studios in Africa, used by major international directors. You will also explore the historic Taourirt Kasbah, a remarkable example of traditional southern Moroccan architecture.

After the visit, drive back to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with a lunch break on the way. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon, marking the end of your tour.
